Buongiorno Caterina. Da ingegnere a mamma fino alla decisione di aprire Case in Italy, un progetto molto ambizioso. Di cosa si tratta?

CaseinItaly è un sito di case per vacanza in Italia proposte direttamente dai proprietari, non si tratta di hotel, ma di appartamenti… poiché in genere una famiglia con bimbi al di sotto dei tre anni, preferisce una casa, piuttosto che la camera d’albergo, perchè non si hanno vincoli di orario, perché si può cucinare “la pappa” oppure si possono invitare amici liberamente. Inoltre rappresenta un risparmio anche dal punto di vista economico, che di questi tempi direi, ironicamente, che va molto di moda .Tutto è iniziato perché i miei genitori (siciliani) volevano affittare la loro piccola casetta al mare per periodi transitori. Io ero in maternità e passavo parecchio tempo al pc (come appare sul titolo del blog di Mammachefatica “Tra una pappa e un pannolino”- mi ha chiesto di inserire questo blog:www.caseinItaly.blogspot.com), così ho cominciato a pubblicare annunci di affitto su numerosi siti italiani ed internazionali e mi sono accorta che c’era una domanda notevole, così ho chiesto ad altri proprietari di case per vacanza se erano interessati a questo tipo di servizio: la pubblicazione di annunci per favorirne il contatto con i potenziali inquilini. In poco tempo il numero di alloggi è cresciuto moltissimo e ciò mi ha costretto a creare una vetrina online: www.caseinItaly.com.

Sono state coinvolte anche altre mamme che in questo modo possono anche durante la gravidanza lavorare da casa. Quali sono i loro compiti?

Sì, esempio in questo momento una di loro, Desi, è proprio in gravidanza e paradossalmente ha aderito alla collaborazione proprio in virtù del fatto che tra poco dovrà stare a casa in maternità.Nella pagina dello staff di CaseinItaly, si trovano le peculiarità e le funzioni di ciascuna di noi. In realtà abbiamo permesso a ciascuna di gestire la vetrina ed il traffico delle prenotazioni di una propria area territoriale. Una donna/mamma oltre a saper cambiare i pannolini o far la casalinga, è altamente qualificata nella sua professione e ha delle competenze che, in questo caso, mette a disposizione a beneficio di tutte le altre. Ad esempio, Imma che è un’esperta di immagine e comunicazione, è la nostra web promoter. Romina, che è appena entrata nello staff, è laureata in scienze politiche con il massimo dei voti ed offrirà la sua competenza linguistica sia nelle traduzioni dell’interfaccia sia come collaboratrice del webmaster per le parole chiave.E molte altre sono le cose che stiamo pian piano realizzando.Il nostro motto (ideato da Imma) è: “Mamme in carriera: YES WE CAN!

In che modo scegliete le località da proporre? Avete particolari convenzioni?

Per le località da proporre in Italia c’è solo l’imbarazzo della scelta, il nostro paese è amato e noto in tutto il mondo per le sue bellezze ed è per questo che una risorsa in loco (come è in effetti per il nostro staff) può dare suggerimenti e consigli validi a chi si mette in viaggio alla scoperta di luoghi nuovi. Abbiamo accordi con alcune strutture per il turismo di gruppo e proponiamo tra i prezzi più bassi del web.Indubbiamente siete mamme che amano il turismo e che hanno deciso di fornire un servizio utile a quanti desiderano conoscere le meraviglie del nostro paese. In futuro pensate di allargarlo anche a quelle donne, non mamme, che però desiderano diventare delle moderne imprenditrici?Per il momento siamo in piena fase di start-up del nostro team e quindi ci daremo dei tempi per valutare i benefici di questa sinergia e gli eventuali margini di miglioramento. Se il progetto decolla come speriamo, ci sarà spazio anche per altre donne.
